June 2009 Parent Newsletter
Dearest Children's Center Families,
It is always so hard to say goodbye at the end of each year! Each September we meet our new little ones and their families with smiles, encouragement and reassuring hugs. Each June we send them on their way with hugs and kisses, laughter over shared memories and secretly wipe away a tear as we watch them walk away. As parents and teachers we work so hard to give our children the skills and confidence they will need to be independent. When they can go to school, or for a play date, go off to kindergarten or to college, it is a HUGE accomplishment and represents hard work on the part of the parents, the teachers, and of course, the children themselves who have had to learn to trust, take risks, fall down a few times and get back up. Life is not easy — nor should it be. Nothing of value is. But when we learn how to deal with adversity, value our triumphs and learn from our mistakes, that is when the true growth takes place and where we ultimately determine what kind of human being we will become. It takes time to build a trusting, loving relationship and we will forever be honored that you chose us for your family's first school experience. Some of you have been with us for many years and the thought of not seeing your faces, hearing your laughter or sharing in your lives will truly leave a gaping hole in our hearts.
We have truly loved you all!

May your smile deepen, your laughter increase and your heart be open. Rediscover that it is life's enrichments rather than the riches of life that bring us true contentment.
And, until we meet again... May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
With Love,
Non Mead
