Winter 2008 Parent Newsletter

We have completed the registration for September 2008. We still have 7 spaces available for our afternoon Fours. Registration went very smoothly this year and we appreciate everyone's flexibility and patience! We welcome your input. For future reference please note the following:

• Children's Center families have "returning family status" with future children. The one caveat is if you pull your child out before they finish the Fours program. In that event, should you choose to return, you will have the next level of priority which is the second registration date.
• We will continue to give returning fours pre- registration for Young Fives as well as for the Innovative program
• Next year, after our returning fours have registered, remaining spaces in Innovative will be filled by lottery. This is the only time a lottery will be used.

HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE: I would like to personally thank each of you who contributed so generously to our Holiday Gift Drive benefiting the Community Service Agency of Mountain View and Los Altos. We delivered over three, HUGE, carloads of toys and clothing! I was particularly impressed with the things the children said as they dropped off their gifts. It was apparent that all of you had done a wonderful job explaining what the drive was all about. I think it's important in this affluent area that our children begin to realize that not everyone is so fortunate. If you have suggestions for agencies that we could support in the future please let us know.

CALENDAR CHANGE: Winter Break will run from Monday, February 18 through Friday, February 22. School will resume on Monday, February 25.
