Small Groups for Women

The following are small group offerings for women. Many groups are part of UMW, United Methodist Women, but not all. For more information about United Methodist Women, click here. All women are welcome.

Circles are part of UMW and meet for program and fellowship every second Wednesday of the month in members' homes or on the church campus. Morning Circles meet at 9:30am. Afternoon Circles meet at 12:30pm.

Faire Ladies Workshop is composed of two groups. The Handicraft Group meets every Monday at 9:30am from February to October on the Creekside stage at the church. The members make things and learn new craft projects. The Needlework Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays in members' homes to do needlework projects. Both groups enjoy fellowship while working together on items to be sold at the Harvest Craft Faire. Contact: Anna Stout (408-245-5302)

Mary Martha Fellowship is a group especially for women who are not able to attend meetings during the week. The group meets on the second Sunday of the month at 10:45am in the Garden Room for program and fellowship. Child care is available in the Church Nursery. MUMS — Mothers Uniting Mothers — is a fellowship group for mothers of infants through elementary school aged children.  We meet every other Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 11:30 in the Live Oak Room.  Childcare is provided.  This is a time for a much needed break for mothers of young children to enjoy wonderful speakers, small group discussion, and refreshments.  For more information, contact Nicole O'Malley (nicole.omalley@gmail.com). Prayer Fellowship meets weekly on Mondays at 1:30pm in the Garden Room to worship God, to seek to know Jesus, to share in fellowship and for intercessory prayer. Prayer requests which have been received at Sunday services are included. New people are invited to meet with us as we seek to learn to grow as the Spirit leads. Scrapbooking meets every Friday from 9:00am-1:00pm and occasionally on Friday nights from 5:30-10:00pm in the Live Oak Room. Childcare is available on Fridays from 9:00-11:30am. Women's Book Group meets on the 4th Thursday at 7:30pm in the Youth Room to discuss current books and to grow together. Read the book and come for lively discussion! All women welcome! Contact: Lois Prior (650-949-1109)

Women in Faith Newcomers are always welcome to this informal fellowship group for women with middle school to college-age children.   Women in Faith is a dynamic and caring community where we discuss faith, relationships, books, current events, and personal growth.  Occasional social outings and visits from pastors and speakers.  Come grow with us as our lives and families change and mature. Women in Grace is a covenant group for mothers of elementary school aged children.  We meet 1st and 3rd Mondays in the Redwood Room from 9:15 until 11:15.  This group focuses mainly on fellowship and small group discussion. It is a chance to develop supportive friendships and grow in your faith. Registration for this covenant group is complete. Working Moms in Fellowship is a fellowship group for working mothers of children at any age.  We meet the first and third Wednesdays of the month, from 7:30-9:00pm.  The first week is always in the Redwood Room and the third Wednesday differs (usually someone's home).
