Memory Walk

It's time for Memory Walk, which happens on Saturday, September 11, this year.  This is a month earlier than in previous years and the day before LAUMC's Homecoming! We are excited that this year's walk will be in San Francisco rather than Treasure Island. It will be a beautiful walk — scenic, flat and wheelchair accessible — and we will once again provide lunch. A Leap of Faith — "An Open Door Sunday"

We are planning one rockin' revival worship experience and BBQ for the entire LAUMC community and friends! You won't want to miss this opportunity for the whole church to worship as one, to lift our voices in praise to God, and to re-commit ourselves to the power of God at work in our lives.

      All parking will be at Foothill College that morning, so please plan accordingly. Click here to view parking details. Shuttles begin at 9:00am. Please come early for a light snack and time to visit the program tents highlighting the wonderful ministries of our church and a preview of all the exciting opportunities coming at LAUMC. After worship, everyone is invited to a BBQ lunch.

      There will be very limited parking available at the church for handicap vehicles and for those with infants. Please use the back driveway entrance to the parking lot behind the sanctuary if this is needed.

      Nursery care will be available for infants and toddlers. If you would like your child to go to Sunday School, please check them in prior to the service. They will then attend the beginning part of worship before they head to their classes.

      Seating will be provided with limited spaces under canopies for those who need to be out of the sun.

      Mark your calendars, invite a friend, open your hearts to be moved and challenged by the Spirit of God — and don't forget to wear your sunscreen!

Sharing Our Table monthly food drive

Every fourth Sunday LAUMC holds a food drive to benefit people in need in our own community through Community Services Agency. Our next collection will be Sunday, September 26. Please bring to church non-perishable food items, such as flour, cereal, canned fruit or vegetables, canned meat, condiments, sugar, cooking oil, etc. View the flyer for more information.
