Starting the Journey Membership Class

Join us for Starting the Journey, our six-week membership class. During the one-hour sessions we will explore the history of the United Methodist Church, the meaning of baptism and discipleship, and expectations of membership at Los Altos United Methodist Church. Those wishing to join the church can do so at a Sunday worship service soon after the conclusion of the class.

Classes are offered in the spring and fall. Stay tuned for the announcement of the next class. Classes meet in the chapel, behind the Senior New Ways office (near the Garden Room).

We would like to welcome our newest professing members! These people completed the membership class and joined Los Altos UMC on Sunday, March 16, at Creekside Crossings.

Confirmation Class for 8th Graders

Confirmation at LAUMC happens during the 8th grade year. In January, our 8th Grade Sunday School class becomes our Confirmation Class exploring what it means to becomes a member of this church. Confirmation is a time when you traditionally make a decision about joining the church, but this program is for everyone, regardless of whether you are planning to join the church. At the end of the year, you will be invited, but not pressured to join. It will be your decision. The class will confirm who you are as a person, and that you are a valued part of God's creation. This message is for everyone!
