Senior New Ways
Elders are the jewels of humanity. We want to help our older adults display their splendor and lead happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives. Their lives have been buffed by the trials and tribulations, joys and successes of their many years, and now they have much precious wisdom to be shared with the culture. By "harvesting" the experiences of older adults, by mining their gems, we endeavor to build a stronger culture, based on the wisdom-sharing of the elders. We also hope to encourage older adults to be aware of the life still left in them. This involves a shift in perception of elders and the culture, to look at the elder years as valuable and enjoyable. We hope elders will come away from our programs and activities with the attitude, "There IS hope as I grow older. I have moved beyond the negative images of aging so prevalent in our culture, to positive images." We also endeavor to affirm and augment the efforts of older adults in developing healthier lifestyles.
